...why TETIDE?
Teti or Tetide (Tethys) in Greek mythology, daughter of Gaea and Uranus and wife of Oceanus, is the great Goddess of the sea.
In geology, the Tethys ocean derives from the name of the Goddess of the sea, which was a large ocean basin created around 250 million years ago and which separated northern Africa from Europe and Asia.
Between 20 and 12 millions of years ago the Tethys ocean closed in the central Mediterranean region.
We called our home Tethys because it was the sea that embraced all the continents and, in our imagination, the peoples who then inhabited them. Tethys brings them together from all parts of the world, they return together, to our home, as if we were that sea.

Breakfast
Our breakfast is simple and self-service. In the past, it used to be more varied and served, as you may have read in some reviews, which may therefore not be fully up to date 😊
Today we offer a more essential and informal option.
You will still find jams, honey, hazelnut spread, barley coffee, instant drinks, rusks, snacks, dried fruit, cereals, coffee, tea, and herbal infusions ☕
You can make use of the kitchen to prepare your own coffee, tea, heat food and drinks, cook using the dishes and utensils (toaster, oven, microwave,..), you can sit in the dining room choosing one of the three tables available.
Common spaces
The kitchen and common room are also at your disposal for lunch or dinner... or to consult and read one of the books in our free library or use the tables to work or study ;)
